Before covid struck we were busy rehearsing Caryl Churchill’s strange & unsettling play “Far Away”. After the pandemic the cast moved on to other projects in other places & we decided to look at what else we could do. So now we are working to devise a new piece about the lives and adventures of a group of hardy local Moray men in the early nineteenth century – the “Timmer Floaters” – the men who guided huge rafts of timber down the fast flowing River Spey from forest to sea. Our work continues but we have already collected some great stories of the men who risked life, limb & a nasty cold!
